Enjoy canapés, sparkling wine and a ‘bush tucker’ inspired dinner under the stars at the ‘A Night at Field of Light’ experience; take a guided base walk around Uluru; witness the iconic red rock bathed in the glow of a fiery sunrise; journey along the iconic rugged ‘Mereenie Loop’ road by 4WD to Kings Canyon and discover the breathtaking Garden of Eden; and explore Alice Springs on a guided tour, including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service Base.



DAY 1 Alice Springs

This afternoon be met by your Driver-Guide, then enjoy a short guided city tour of Alice Springs including Anzac Hill and the historical Telegraph Station. The Alice Springs Historical Telegraph Station Reserve marks the site of the first European settlement and was established in 1871 to relay messages back to England. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers.

DAY 2 Alice Springs, West MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon

Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Simpsons Gap. Visit Standley Chasm and Ormiston Gorge and later travel the iconic ‘Mereenie Loop’ road to Kings Canyon Resort, in the heart of Watarrka National Park.

DAY 3 Kings Canyon, Watarrka National Park

Today, embark on the popular 6-kilometre Kings Canyon Rim Walk which can be challenging but offers breathtaking views. Later, enjoy lunch at Kings Creek Station and perhaps try one of their famous ‘Camel Burgers’.

DAY 4 Kings Canyon, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

This morning, you’ll travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), consisting of 36 majestic domes which form deep valleys and steep-sided gorges. Continue to explore the immense red walls of Walpa Gorge, before making your way to Ayers Rock Resort. In the heart of the Red Centre, the luxury of Sails in the Desert complements the surrounding natural beauty.

DAY 5 Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, A Night at Field Of Light

Rise early to watch the colours of dawn light up Uluru. Perhaps take the guided Mala Walk or Kuniya Walk along the base of the rock, and learn about traditional Anangu culture. Tonight, be treated to an evening of magic under the sparkling outback sky at ‘A Night at Field of Light’. This unforgettable dining experience combines the award-winning ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner with the global phenomenon known as the Field of Light. Enjoy the illumination of more than 50,000 solar powered stems, covering the area of seven football fields, as you are treated to canapés, sparkling wine and a special three-course ‘bush tucker’ inspired menu accompanied by the music of a didgeridoo.

DAY 6 Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Alice Springs

After breakfast, travel via the Lasseter Highway and Stuart Highway back to Alice Springs and take a tour of the original Royal Flying Doctor Service Base operating since 1939 and learn about this unique and important service. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner.
